Description ABOUT THE BOOK Large numbers of extension programmes are in progress. Inspite of importance given to those programmes people are reluctant or unable to accept change. A close scrutiny of the constraints shows the absence of understanding of the concepts, philosophy, objectives methods and entrepreneurship in managing these programmes. The importance of extension education for rural development made it imperative to introduce it in educational curiculla of B.Sc.(Ag.), S.Sc(Hort.), S.Sc.(Forestry), B.Sc. (Home Science), B.Sc.(Fisheries) B. Tech (Dairy) and such other courses. ICAR recently revised the syllabus of these courses in the light of the recent advances. The present book is expected to fulfil the needs of students under going these courses. It will also be helpful to the field extension workers.
